Step 1: Estimate, in grams, the mass of the number of glass marbles you can pick up with your right hand.
Step 2: Using your right hand grab a handful of marbles from the bucket and place them on the pan balance.
Step 3: Using the gram masses, place them on the other side of the balance until the arrow points at zero.
Step 4: Add the gram masses together and record that number on your record sheet.
Step 5: Calculate the difference between your estimate and your actual measurement.
Step 6: Repeat steps 1 - 5 for a second trial.
