Grade 5 Explores Properties of Materials

Grade 5 students have begun their multi-day exploration of various properties of materials in order to determine what is best for thie solar cooker designs. Students are testing materials for strength, heat conduction, and reflectivity. Students will create graphs from their data using excel spreadsheets and, in combination with written observations, make materials decisions for their solar cookers.
